Didn’t call me, I didn’t ask and he didn’t ask me so I’m just not asking seems appropriate thing to do.

Super smart guy and very hard worker so idk what would have happened for a no

how are his verbal interview skills / people skills ? based on what I have seen, if you get called for interview, if you get a "no" it is from something that happened in the room

When we interviewed, it definitely felt like the position was yours to lose. Either logbooks aren’t in order, the LOI didn’t go smooth as a team player, or the HR interview went south. Hope your friend gets a call!

Any inputs from those in the know on what a cause could be for references getting called, package NOT being forwarded to DB, and then getting a TBNT? Suspecting it could be one of the employers....

I got a call 1700 EST from the chief pilot. I was told to reach out to my references and have them call their chief pilots a day before decision board. It helps elevate the score in the event LOI SCORING was below par. Additionally, my references were called the next Monday after the interview. It’s the best phone call I’ve ever received.

I know for a fact that if HR says no in the interview the candidate’s application doesn’t go any further. No chief pilot or DB can override it.

If references can’t back up what the candidate said....

Every one gets the CJO now. It is what allows the company to conduct the background check. The CJO means nothing.
