Nonsense. You are looking through the lens of that abomination called New York City where 9 million+ people live on top of each other in 80 square foot apartments and share one bathroom per floor with 10 other people.

Regular folk who live in the real world that doesn't involve the coastal elite will likely still be able to start to re-open.

There are several states currently on a similar path. Louisiana is at around 9,000 cases, with over 2,700 new cases reported so far today.

You've been to Mardi Gras, or New Years, in New Orleans? The perfect environment for massive cross infection.

Look at Albany, Georgia, for an example of how this can/will spread even in small towns. Those who see this as an urban (or elite) problem are just denying the truth. Stay safe and healthy!

It looks like Spirit won't be participating either.

Do you really think Spirit is the only airline that will seek to drop 20 some odd destinations from its schedule? Think SWA is going to keep hitting all of their stops with 600 some odd parked planes? American with 800 or so parked?

Spirit may not take the money. The fact that they are discussing the details with the DOT per Christie’s email suggests they are at least looking at it. Perhaps those details include how many stations they can eliminate from daily flying.
