That’s life for us freight dogs, plus no slides to worry about on the 757/767 at UPS.

From someone on the outside of it....

What is the deal with the MOU? Why was flying cargo prohibited before and what protections are you gaining or losing with this?

Within Section 1, the Contract has a statement that if the Company wants to conduct cargo-only flying, negotiations must be reopened to determine contractual elements for that cargo-only flying.

The Company wanted to initiate cargo-only flying, run as our current charter operations run. The SWAPA BOD voted to grant the company a one-month-only MOU for such ops, with a one-year MOU put out for membership approval vote.

I must have missed the logical, rational explanation why we did not demand resolution of some or ANY of the approx 150 pending grievances currently outstanding.
