Maybe I'm not in the right circles but I havent read a single article about how any of the behind the scenes people are getting the axe.

I completely agree! With that said no amount of pay cuts would've saved us in Q2. Furloughs wouldn't have even done it without a SIGNIFICANT change to our route structure and HQ structure. If that were the case we'd be back to the Texas two step days and that's pretty much it.

Then why are we cconstantly ready to give up the farm?

Because it’s the sort of thing we do. It’s woven into our DNA. Our SWAPA President, who will do just fine with his union guarantee and his side consulting company, used the “C” word in the latest RP. Done deal.

Yeah, that certainly caught me off guard and infuriated me as well!

Geez. That’s LOW.

Could be because everyone who can/wants to took the ExTO

Other than Halloween and some kids’ Fall breaks there’s nothing going on in Oct.

Nov/Dec will be interesting to see how many take it with the holidays.

This is how I see it as well. It will fluctuate but starting in September there will be roughly 2400 pilots fewer on property, at least for six months. This is quite significant. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the next few months with lines, bidding, vacancies, etc.

There will be some natural attrition as well. I flew with a senior captain who has about 5 or 6 months to go and he's going to fly the remainder of his time. But he'll be gone too before long.

ExTo question from non-swa guy

Was the exto granted in stages or did it begin on a set date for all participants? Thanks
