ExTO and VSP numbers

The question is at what point does the company start bringing those on Exto back? Was that ever mentioned, a block hr ratio or something?
also 20% for exto is not the same as furloughs. The 20% are still getting paid something so it would need to be a way higher number to equal the 17% furlough of AA et al

For us, 20% of the pilot group on ExTO or VSP is more like 10% when it comes down to monetary value. I think that’s a good number to start with and can last a solid 6 months.

Commercial side of the business will decide this. Why do you think it's taking a week or so for them to award this? Network planning still has to decide how many flights and how many block hours they are willing to fly. About three weeks ago its was probably looking better each week. Now, not so much. Pure guessing on their part. As someone stated above you want to cut but you don't want to cut too much. Next schedule release for passengers to book should extend into the spring of 2021. I think that is in August. Which puts the company into summer season when staffing begins to come into play. Throw in the fact the SWA is burning millions a day, definitely high stress at the GO.
Next week SWA reports earnings on the 23rd. VSP/ExTO awards are on the same day. Coincidence? Probably not. SAVE, AAL, UAL and ALK all report next week. It will be ugly. Hopefully this is the bottom. DAL reported some ugly numbers. Burned 43 million a day in the quarter. Now only burning 20 million a day. Let's see what the rest of the industry says next week. I highly recommend listening to their conference calls.
