This is a good thread and I have stayed at a few of these places.

Two thoughts:

1 Thank God my union had a hotel committee.

2 Thank God SW didn’t fly beyond the borders of the Lone Star state when I was applying to airlines.

Not directed at the guys or gals there or the well run airline ... I just really loved the international ops that I was blessed to fly for 20 of 30 some odd years. YMMV

As an aside ... 25 or so years ago the Arden Fair area was not bad ... plenty of eatery and the hotel where we stayed offered free bicycles ... riding along the river was great. Things/places change.

That's the worst idea I've ever heard in my life.
Yes this is horrible, this idea.

It would almost be worth it to watch the train wreck.

Rome ... Bernini Bristol ... bit of a drive but neat hotel in great location ... good food and drink close by.

Munchen ... Hilton Muchen City ... bit of a drive in but nice and clean great location ... great bier and food

Frankfurt am Main ... Hilton is a short drive and a great location ... many great locations for bier and eats

Dusseldorf ... Okay hotel ... naughty girls working the front desk ... so many Alts so little time and great eats

Amsterdam ... good hotel short drive ... SO many great places to eat and drink ... so much to see and do

Brussels ... great hotel ... so many great beers and places to eat

Paris ... long painful drive but ok hotel ... Great food, fromage, wine, bagets and places to enjoy them

Worst
London ... long painful drive ... hotel hit or miss ... can’t understand the language ... great beer though

Tokyo ...long drive to the Intercontinental... great food and beer

Beijing ... Great free eats and drinks at the JW Marriot ... but it is Beijing

Singapore ... great hotel with free eats and drinks ... plenty to see but it is humid

The down side to all of this flying is that none of it was on the 737 ...
You just couldn’t do 3 each could you? 😝

I'm still shocked you guys like these places we go too. Do you sit at home and get all giddy when you think about your next trip's overnights? There's no place like home, boys. I'm all good doing multiple legs per day, but the key is to spend the most time in my own bed as possible.

Of course, there are times when I'll have to be gone for a day or two. Anything more than one night, I start to get cranky.

I wouldn’t mind sleeping in a quiet spot in the airport. I don’t go in the crew rooms because I don’t want to see the CPO’s office. Makes me uncomfortable cause I think they’re out to get me. It’s a shame since some of the recliners are comfy.

They are watching you from your company iPad camera. Doesn't matter where you sleep

Mine is taped up with enough electrical tape to cover camera and speaker.
