SWAPA MEC chairman was on NPR yesterday and said that not only were sick calls in line with what the pilot group had over the summer, but they saw more pilots pick up open time during the weekend than normal. When asked why it seem coincidental with the lawsuit and then this, he said it was because the lawsuit was to bring the company to the table to not stop the vaccine mandate, but to get the same protections other airlines get, most importantly loss of license.
Glad to see the pilot group used as a political pawn, which will be used against them if there is an injunction for an illegal job action, just so a fringe group can say, “Let’s go Brandon!”

Swapa and the company have no choice but to say this publicly. Is the company back track and say “oh yeah we lied about the weather and atc” no. Is swapa gonna come out and say “yeah we knew about a secret sickout illegal work action” no. Guaranteed some behind close door stuff happened where basically it was said we can’t let the truth come out for both our sakes.

It did not happen. Your false narrative is exactly that….a lie.
It doesn’t even pass the muster of common sense. Nothing would make the BOD and GK happier than placing the blame on a rogue pilot group. It would be the ultimate in top cover for a monumental management mistake. Let’s see here, let it get out that the junior folks were manning the store while a HUGE party was going on in Dallas and they lost operational control of a multi billion dollar corporation OR place the blame on the overpaid, ungrateful pilots. Hmmmmmmm which one would you use if you were the CEO?
I know NECKCAR fans live in a alternate reality world but try to keep it grounded a bit.
In addition a company can and has sued for defamation. The constant spewing of misinformation in relation to a non existent “sick out” passes the three tests on if a company can sue. Question is will SWA sue? They have gone after people before….

Let me ask a question. What would it take to show you that there was no sick out? The union and company have opened their data to you…what would it take? Have you called SWAPA and asked about the data? They will share it with you.
What data points do you offer to counter theirs?
Keep the pressure on the company to be accountable for its mistake and to keep owning it.
Maybe you should hire CyberNinjas to run an audit??

I’m sure the company would love to pin this mess on the pilots. It just wasn't the case….the union emailed out the data.
“Bob Jordan, Southwest’s incoming CEO, said that there was absolutely no truth to the rumors”
“There was not a walkout this weekend,” Jordan said to TPG in a phone interview Tuesday evening. “It’s just flat out not true.”
