Default Training Time Off

Does anyone have a rough idea of what the initial training footprint looks like during the holiday season?

Any decent gaps to go home or is it nearly every day?

You’ll have 3-4 opportunities to go home and the training center is closed over Christmas so you’ll likely be able to go home on the 24th and probably be back in Dallas on 26th or 27th.

Slightly dated, but I was there over Thanksgiving in 2017. Training was 58 days total with 1-2 days off per week. For Thanksgiving they gave us class on Wednesday morning, then we were released til Saturday, so everyone jumpseated home. There’s another few days off while type orals are going on if you’re lucky enough to go first (or already typed). Even with the 1-2 days off people were going home regularly if they wanted. I think I probably averaged every other week. No idea about Christmas, but best guess is you can depart after class on the 23rd and fly back on the 26th, something like that.

We left early on the 24th and had to be back on the 27th for class on the 28th. Xmas was on a Fri that year.

You’ll get weekends off, a couple/few days for Xmas and then a larger group of days off around oral/sims depending on when you are slotted in. Same for IOE.

I feel like I remember the guys/gals with the 737 type had more time off during training as well.

We did. I went home while the non-typed guys did their type oral prep. Then we all started in the sims around the same time a few days later.
