Wasn’t there something about setting zeros being a sticking point as well?

But only after you hit VORLOC, let it capture, and *then* hit APP mode. Because otherwise the airplane will explode, apparently. [emoji23]

What need is “auto zero”. 15 seconds after weight on wheels all the numbers in the MCP should go to zero. This will prevent the spinning on knobs with one hand while steering an airplane going 30 kts with the other.

Maybe we can threaten Boeing with Airbus pens into adding “auto-zero” option.

if you're not on a less than 90° intercept heading, meaning headed more towards the runway than not. The plane will capture the LOC and follow it away from the airport. This rarely happens but can.

Maybe we need to form a pilot committee (virtual of course) to evaluate data for the next 2 years. Then come out with some out of this world procedure that only we train for. Then only then can we be safe!!! Also the pilot committee will only be selected from a select USAF squadron of fighter pilots.

I flew with a guy who said to call him "Beaver".

I was like "Beaver? Like, 'Leave it to the...'?"
