I am fully expecting a big change in that as well, but it kind of makes sense IF our disability benefits and whatever the new system is match that outcome. I leverage our current system quite often and won't be happy with big changes.
I am not going to give my full diatribe on this subject, but I will say that I will not accept ANY give back on earned sick bank. That is a benefit that I own and I won't sell it back for cheap. The company has an unrealized liability in the hundreds of millions of dollars that they need to come to terms with.

Disagree. At United everyone is on the 737 by choice, and they have probably as many or more MAXs on order then SWA. Those that really don’t like it can bid away, leaving those that remain in a better relative seniority. How often do you think a United FO hears about how the 717 was the best airplane ever made?

that’s assuming you need to fly a wide body to validate your career. If so, no judgement, and yeah, go to a carrier with wide bodies. Not everyone is obsessed with flying over oceans…
