All of the above, in addition it's not super close to the training center, transportation is provided and runs on a suitable schedule more or less, but as you approach the sim portion of your stay get a rental car if neither you nor your partner have your own. You'll be tired of wasting time on the shuttle

Some Marriotts, probably about half, will give you stay credit. Very few Hiltons. I usually give my bonvoy number just in case and then charge food to my room. This is really the first year I have done it with any frequency. Over the course of the year, I have gotten enough points for a couple of free nights and about half the stays I needed to get Bonvoy gold (other half from commuter hotels).

Also love the idea of getting cookware then donating to goodwill for the tax cred, jeeeeezz… I hope people realize they are getting a job that pays real money and they can afford the ‘spoils’ now.

Also saw someone post about buying cookware to later give to goodwill for the tax cred, jeeeezz… You work for a company that pays money not monopoly bucks, I’m sure everyone will be fine for food in metropolitan Dallas.

Some purchased microwaves/appliances were removed from the Anatole rooms as they were considered a fire hazard. At least that was the explanation given, ymmv.
I was able to keep my microwave till the end, but also tipped my housekeepers, maybe that helped?

Going to be staying at the Hilton Anatole for 50-55 days. Nice hotel and all, can't complain, that's for sure (coming from the regional lifestyle) but were stuck with only a mini fridge and (god I hope) a microwave in the rooms. Three or four restaurant options in the hotel, which, being that we are not recieving per-diem during training, isn't exactly cost effective. Hoping someone can give me some pointers and suggestions on some options for cost-effective food options during training. Unfortunately a PBJ and a bag of Lays will only suffice for lunch, but for dinner I need something somewhat filling (training for a Denali summit causes one to eat a lot)...and knowing how new-hire training goes, I don't foresee myself having the time or energy to hunt down food every night. I've been in airline training (regional) but had the luxury of a kitchenette in my room..
Thanks in advance! Beyond excited to be here.
