I don't understand why anybody's printing/writing ATIS at all when it's two clicks away on the iPad at most airports. Then again, I've lost track of how many times I've had to explain Airdrop, so....

I can’t read the printed atis without breaking out my glasses and then sorting through 5 pages of mostly useless info on a curled up piece of paper. It’s just easier for me to write it out. Trust me, I am extremely lazy. If it was easier, I’d be doing it.

Look at the iPad it’s right there.

You'd be surprised at how many people can't do this. Then get bent out of shape when you don't write it down, THEN write it down themselves as if it was required paperwork.

Truly pathetic how some of these clowns are still flying the 200, and it shows.

You’re assuming wifi works.

Fair enough and while it’s a small sample size, it’s worked every flight so far.

It’s akin to a cpdlc clearance vs calling it in. If it’s available it makes sense to use the faster, easier and more available digital option.

For the times it doesn’t work, much like every other airline, you use the paper version.

Hey no problem. That doesn’t mean I won’t make fun of you for writing the ATIS out though. 😜

Why cant the person who needs to look at it again look at it on the FMC?
Or pay attention when going over it the first time.
I rarely write anything down and when I do it's usually just the letter. Guys will fill every block out on that thing. I've had some tell me its required .

If you can get the printer to double the font size so it can be seen when it's dark, and arrange the info into a format that is readable at a glance, I'll use the printer more.

It's the same format as digital ATIS since DATIS existed...
