Quote: What is SWA doing with 87 more airplanes? Outta be interesting.
Giving scheduling about 700 more opportunities for airplane swaps in the middle of my day... 😑

They’re going to overstaff this airline on a permanent basis on the pilot side (If possible). Better get the new rates correct for 87/89 credit.

I’ve been preaching that for quite some time. We better get an BIG increase in our rates to account for the over-staffing they seem hell bent on.

Quote: the pictures are terrifying. Nary a peep about it from flight ops, but don’t you dare leave the bleeds in the off position.
Do you have a link? I haven't seen those.

it’s 88 avg. Worse yet we will still work the same number of days. Makes everybody available for reroutes and online reserve. 84% will look at the rates only. Have it spent already and will yessie another industry lagging contract.

Quote: Just got an interview invite here and was curious what the attrition rate here right now in new hire classes is.. 10-20% leaving within a month out of class or something? Or is it something even worse than expected
Run, don't walk, to another airline.

You are not using correct numbers. Your numbers are based the company bid package. You are leaving out the 108 TFP numbers the company and SWAPA 1.0 uses. They like using what the average pilot flys in a month. (Leaving out the fact that you are working another 3-4 days in the month to obtain their numbers ). It is an embarrassment to work at this place.

In other words you are using apples to apples , the company likes using apples to muffins .

Yeah....the rates are also from 2016 and yr 1-5 lagged everyone else. At least this time we're near last to get a TA so we only have ourselves to blame if we agree to something less than industry standard
