I'd write a letter if I had invested months of time and effort only to change my mind once on line.

I also would not have made the move in the first place unless I was pretty sure it was the right move.

There was a guy on one of the AA threads who said he was quitting here to go there. MCO guy who lived near MIA. Not sure if that’s the same guy….

16 years or 16 months is irrelevant...

What does 16 years get me where I am?

What do I get by leaving?

In this climate, you might get more by leaving, especially if you're under 50. I know a guy who just left a legacy for a ULCC, he had about 12 years but he wanted to drive to work. He was well over 50.

To go where? Was the pilot a commuter at SWA and is now avoiding a commute? It’s not just as simple as a pilot leaves after 16 years.
