A SW Captain had a medical issue leaving LAS and an offline pilot ended up assisting the FO in returning to LAS. While it’s normal to ask if there are medical folks onboard I wonder if the offline pilot volunteered? Saw one report they were in uniform so maybe the FAs asked?

There is no PA made. If you’re following common courtesy and requesting the jumpseat, you check in with the crew when you’re jumpseating. “Hi I’m Frank Lorenzo. I’m jumpseating and sitting in 33B. You better not charge me for a snack box.”
