Random off topic here, but what happens if I add a GDO on the first day of a reserve block that was already awarded? Do they remove that day? Am I likely to be called last? Does it do nothing to add a GDO because the block is already on my board?

The GDO really only does 2 things. First, it will move you to the end of the list of available Pilots eligible to be junior assigned on a day off. Second, if you do get junior assigned, you can decline or accept and get an additional 6.5 tfp on top of whatever the flying credit pays.
It will not prevent you from being junior assigned, and it does absolutely nothing if you place it on a day you already have flying or reserve.

I fly AM's, so there is no move up. I can't remember the last time I was JA'd. Last summer I snuck off the airplane twice before the agent could get me. I had 4 voicemails from scheduling each time. I think a lot of guys like JA's, I am not one of them. I'd rather be home than spend more time in the circus.

Spirit makes a ton of money without JAs and with allowing trip drops to the company. We can too.
