I didn’t realize the companies offer was so high.

Is SWAPA trying to get WB rates for flying a 737?

I think the idea is we’re the most productive pilots in the industry based on a number of factors and we want rates that reflect that vs years of the company getting so much for so little.

The company's offer landed with a thud. It isn't even close to enough. It was a sub inflation raise with some trickery baked in to fudge the numbers. Expect the final rates to be much, much higher. It was just a trial balloon by the company (that didn't work, I know of nobody who thought it was even in the ballpark) and was definitely a "first offer".

My YES vote is expensive... and I mean VERY expensive. The pay rates the company presented alone don't even come close... let alone everything else.

I took the new survey and I said my piece. I'm not interested in subpar offers and I am not afraid to vote NO until we get ours. That's why I can't stand the naysayers and doom-and-gloom FUD-spreaders who say we shouldn't expect or hold our NC's and generally SWAPA's feet to the fire.

The company proposed rates from June were pretty close to industry standard for NB. I say pretty close, because they pulled some creative math. We don’t have widebody aircraft at southwest, so most of us aren’t worried about the label for the rates. Company proposed rates from June were their first offer, and not even close to what this pilot group would accept.

Even the current 737 rates at Delta or United don't cut it, and not by a long shot. In today's environment, those rates are viewed by many as concessionary.

Yea because delta and United voted in concessionary rates for whatever reason? 👀

Yeah....I'm sure they could've done better on rates had they not done so well with QOL/work rule items. We need both.

Good luck with that .

As the company has stated. Quality of life for the pilots is of no value to the company.

If WN pilots want more money they just need to work more. If they want better insurance, they need to find a second job to work on days off.
