Then they’re out of their 🤬ing mind and don’t have a clue about what inflation has done to us and will continue to do to us for the foreseeable future.

Even using Carl's new 16% conversion factor BS, this isn't anywhere close to what I'd vote "yes" on.

I don’t see a 4 anywhere starting any of those rates. Pass.

Here’s the message they got from management. (Bold text was not mine, it was bolded by whoever posted it on the swapa forum)

“By now most of you have likely seen the message from your ALPA Representatives regarding the September 1st, 2023, Market Rate Adjustment to your pay rates. I wanted to take the opportunity to share a few thoughts about the agreement and the road ahead. First, I’d like to thank your ALPA Leadership & Negotiating Committee for the collaborative work and their open and honest communication throughout the process which directly contributed to the successful outcome. The bottom line is that Alaska captains at the top of scale will receive an ~11.2% pay raise on September 1st bringing our top scale captain rate to $340.25. Pay rates in all other steps in both seats will be adjusted upward a minimum of ~11.2% to maintain the current slope. As you know, this far exceeds the 4% increase required by the CBA market check. To account for the exceptions made to CBA language ALPA and the Company agreed to LOA23-08 which excluded Southwest pay rates from the calculation but included American & United rates from their respective tentative agreements, whether they have ratified or not. This is another indication of our commitment to make certain that our pilots are well compensated and a good example of what a strong, constructive relationship between the Company and ALPA can produce. Reaching this agreement and the resulting improvement in your compensation makes me personally proud to lead our division and work daily with your ALPA team, who do a great job representing you. This is another huge investment in the Alaska Pilot Group by our Company and for me, renews my energy and desire to demonstrate to the rest of the industry exactly what the best pilots in the business are capable of. This fantastic news combined with our aircraft order book, future growth plans and industry leading financial strength and stability further solidifies your careers and your family’s long-term security. As Scott mentioned in his recent note, attracting and retaining pilots in our industry is critical to the future well-being of each of us and our families. We will continue to work together with your ALPA Representatives on creative ways to address this subject including discussing the possibility of adjustments to our basing strategy. It’s time that we are ‘all in’ on being part of the solution. Every one of us from seniority #1 through seniority #3600 has a pivotal role to play and now is the time to play it, like the professionals we are. We have a real shot at leading the industry in operational performance and profitability for the year and I challenge all of us to continue to lead our operation and get the results we’re collectively capable of! Thanks for reading this & BE SAFE OUT THERE! --DM”
