Default Caribbean Layovers

Do Southwest pilots layover in the Caribbean destinations or are they just out and backs?

Only if you wear cowboy boots to the beach while shooting a bottle of wild turkey. Otherwise you have to earn your layovers. About 10 years of MAF and STL usually allows you that status...

Plenty of SJU and CUN, some LIR, a few SJO and PUJ. Every now and again you will see a AUA.

Most flights south are out and back, though. With the exception of SJU and CUN, they are very base specific.
