Quote: Answered in the QA on swalife. The 10/1-DOR is for purchases already completed. If you purchased it before that, you will need to purchase a new one to receive a reimbursement. If one breaks, or you just want to get a new one (please please telex pilots) before the amendable date, you can purchase one and expense it.

The return policies of non-swa companies is not within the purview of this contract.
That's not what it said at all. Multiple Q&A specified there is no timeline for the purchase. The only requirement is that you have completed new hire training. I submitted my reimbursement request for my 2019 headset around 3pm today. It was already approved.

Q: Will headset reimbursement apply to any and all current SW pilots that have completed Southwest new hire training at any time? Annotated does not state "Completed training on or after DOR."
A: It does not. We confirmed with Labor Relations that they would accept pre-DOR receipts.

Awesome, I'm happy to be corrected. SWAPA has said there are some issues with the swa life version of the implementation and that there hasn't been any pushback from the company on it. Yet, at least.

I'm guessing this is one of the items. Glad you got your reimbursement.

OK i'll give this a go also. I too have a receipt from 2019...
Curious what base you're in? I assume this could have some bit of differing interpretation by base...

I'm in BWI.

I went to Concour in swalife, created a new expense report. There was already a selection for 'Pilot Headset' with an associated cost center. Selected it, put in amount (don't put in more than $1k, it'll get rejected), uploaded receipt and submitted. 60 seconds later the status on the report went to 'approved - pending payment'. I think it's set to auto-approve.

Depends on your base coordinator. Some will use the 365 form and file the concur for you, some won't. I remember things like this when I am donating to the coordinator fund at Christmas time.

Quote: Everybody who is talking about too high of a percentage, make sure you tell anybody and everybody to vote in the rep elections.

Any document must be voted for by them before it can get to a TA. A 50%+1 solution is a failure on their part. Part of the reason the percentage was this high this time was because they held the line to get a contract that was ratifiable by this margin.

You can argue they didn't hold the line long enough, of course, but their role in determining what the membership gets to vote on is indisputable.

And yet, we constantly see votes for reps in the 50% range. I will never criticize how somebody votes, but I will never sympathize with somebody who doesn't vote.
Yep.... they are the only thing saving this pilot group from itself it seems.

Quote: Anyone ever run across a guy who thinks everyone around him is an incompetent idiot so he's constantly yelling or berating everyone else and tries to tell everyone how to do their job? Kinda sounds like a typical NO voter on these forums... everyone else is always the problem.

Being a NO (or a YES for that matter) is not a problem. Being an a$$ is....

You just described yourself!

For the past several months if anyone questioned or opposed the agreement you made lengthy, berating posts telling them they were wrong and an idiot.

Congratulations on being self aware.....you just need to connect the dots.
