does that IFE switch run power to the USBs? I don’t think I’ve looked at that switch since new hire.
Not sure but these things were broken and added to MEL. MX had never encountered one of these before. The guy came up to the cockpit and said something like, “Man you ought to see the power supply to these things. It’s covered in a massive blanket with warnings on it about the high levels of electricity passing through it.” He was glad to not have to monkey with it. |

that I understand.. but w/ all the new max they have taken on you’d think those should be included in the refresh.
The product that we currently offer on new airplanes is perfectly average, which is the customer demographic SWA is going after. It takes time and a lot of money to take those planes out of service in order to replace an average product with another new average product. This will be just like the paint jobs. It's a full 10 years since they started repainting planes and I think there are still a few canyon blue 700s out there. |

Bob Jordan says they will wait for the MAX-7 according to yahoo finance. Thats my upgrade. Thats my career progression being put on hold. I like our new contract but I don't like the lack of vision or where this airline going or should I say not going. That's not going to keep pilots here.

It's a shame our CEO is the type who hid behind his COO after the biggest meltdown in airline history. I really don't expect much or anything intelligent out of him.

This place is slowly eroding at the core and the execs are doing nothing about it. New seats and free guest passes aren’t going to solve anything. They keep telling investors that net margin will go back up, yet they leave billions on the table. Plane deliveries aren’t happening as planned. They need to pay for our new labor contract. Something has to give and soon.
i actually give F9 some respect for at least having the courage to try something new. GK/BJ should be doing the same. |
