I dress nice and look sharp, but I actually had a Check Airman "inspect me" two weeks ago when he stopped to see if my pants were the same material as my M&H Jacket. It just so happened they were. I was wearing wool pants, but it really shocked me. I have only been here for a few months and every person on the line has been very relaxed, and the Check Airman was not rude in the slightest, but it caught me off guard.

There is one in particular who is on a mission to rid the line of Lululemon pants. He said it's not the proper material and it looks bad. I saw him get on three guys' case in the two days I worked with him.

That is exactly what he said to me! He said Lulu's were unprofessional and inappropriate. I told him that I've never even seen them or worn them, but in the back of my mind, who cares as long as someone looks professional? The Check Airman was coming off a plane we were picking up and my CA could not stop talking about him for half the flight.

How is this tool inspecting the pants? Touching them get a close up look. Sounds like sexual harassment.

Had one give me crap in a DEN jetbridge because he said my leather jacket wasn’t approved. I bought a Pops Leather jacket because Perrone was more expensive and took longer to get, and it was winter and I needed a jacket (before Karbon jackets). I asked where it showed the approved jacket vendors and he said, “it’s in there somewhere…”. Asked if it was in the FOM, CBA….and he didn’t answer so I walked off.

Had a PHX CKA give me crap about something unrelated to flying after he sat in the jumpseat and begged for a ride to SAN so he could do some ETOPS OE. I told him I didn’t care and that he wasn’t my boss. He asked who my CP was so I told him and said my CP wouldn’t give two s$&!s and he could use my phone to call him since I have his cell. He sat in the corner of the hotel van and shut up. I’m not on probation and I’m not playing games with idiots who want to nitpick just to nitpick.

If you’re following the AOM and not doing something stupid, WGAF what kind of jacket or brand of pants you’re wearing? People need to quit making easy hard.

Good thing I don't wear a jacket.

But seriously, I haven't worn M&H pants past the first set that I was forced to buy as a new-hire. Nobody has said a single word about my Haggar Cool 18 Pro pants since I've been here.

Next time tell the CKP that they're out of compliance for wearing the company approved name tag on their karbon jacket. The Uniform Appearance Standards Manual clearly states that the leather name tag will be worn with the Karbon and leather jackets. It's clearly a mistake, but if you're going to play stupid games, you're going to win stupid prizes.
