But...but...the hotels and restaurants and leisure activities along Hegenberger and 98th Ave. are so delightful, I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't want OAK as their forever base

Anyone know if LAX will be easy to get for a new hire these days (bascially the bottom of seniority until hiring picks up again)?

There are a lot of moving parts this year. Deliveries, bases, hiring trends, etc. One sure thing is that things will change.

When it comes to assigned bases and commuting, it’s often poorly taught in training but there are opportunities on the line to try and trade/give away/pick up between bases to make a commute more…manageable.

Example—a new hire lives in LAX but gets assigned BWI. He can try to give away his BWI trips and if successful pick up in LAX or a surrounding closer domicile.

A long commute sucks. But there are opportunities to mitigate it with some bidding/trading savvy.

Do tell. When will that be? It is not going to be this summer. Anyone who did not get the vacation they wanted, will be getting it anyway .

BWI reserve already is going senior in the left seat. Only 2 of 9 this morning are 6 digit captains, the rest are 5...

Wow. I didn't even really think of the trading aspect. Thanks for that.
