There are a lot of moving parts this year. Deliveries, bases, hiring trends, etc. One sure thing is that things will change.
When it comes to assigned bases and commuting, it’s often poorly taught in training but there are opportunities on the line to try and trade/give away/pick up between bases to make a commute more…manageable.
Example—a new hire lives in LAX but gets assigned BWI. He can try to give away his BWI trips and if successful pick up in LAX or a surrounding closer domicile.
A long commute sucks. But there are opportunities to mitigate it with some bidding/trading savvy.
