Default VSP?

Im not one to post much or even start rumors but I have heard multiple times that SWA are is on the brink of offering VSP going into the fall. Anyone else hear about this? Severely overstaffed and will be for awhile. The pause in hiring will most likely go int into 2025 so I can kind of believe it.

No VSP or ExTO program is coming. We might return to the days of bidding monthly zero lines.

Well either the last furlough notices were real or a vail threat to extract 10% and force manure. Either way SWA wont win. They will try big green bars for a little bit. To bad we cant take advantage of other oppurtunities. SWA has no vision or leadership.

Oh man, I can’t even put into words how tempted I’d be!

I would still need to stay most likely. A good friend of mine is begging for it. I think SWA would have to go in senority order beacuse so many would take it today.

You think a lot would hop on it?

I do. I think a lot of guys are tired of
the perpetual grind that this place turned into. Do you see that changing anytime soon?

I don’t. Until Gary Kelly croaks or retires to an island of ladyboys in the South Pacific, any investments in this place or changes in the business model are going to be incremental, at best. The board of crypt keepers is happy to not upset the apple cart and BoJo ain’t that guy. When Wall Street starts raising the alarm, then you can expect change. Until then, settle in.

I’m betting a lot will. If I were in my 60’s I’d be Dr. shopping. 🫣

Zero chance. Those were government funded programs. SWA will offer short term LOAs. That's it. This is a very temporary situation and VSP is a very permanent solution.
They won't even offer zero trip lines because those will go senior from guys trying to dominate open time.
I know someone in some leadership brief threw this possibility out there, but come on....
