The old crew up was intuitive and easy to use, simple info like gate codes it harder to access in the updated UI which is kinda annoying.

Oh wow, somehow I had overlooked those settings. Thanks a bunch!

I don't mind the new formatting.

Added features I like are the privacy, connect, schedule overlay, gate change notification, bridge code position, over fly, inbound shows times on radar page. Hotel and layover at a glance, the hotel page in general is better and notes for the hotel with room tips (take odd room for ocean view-actaul tip).

On my Android device, it will sync trips to my calendar every time the app calendar refreshed. Dozens of duplicate trips, and no longer removes the trips that aren't on my board. Pretty lame.

I'm glad some of you like the formatting. Obviously this is just a personal viewpoint, but I find the formatting very difficult to read with a lot of wasted space. Things that I have yet to get used to:

1) In the old version, you could see all of your flights for the day and the associated times in a very small compact area, making it easy to see your day at a glance. Now the same info takes up way more room and you have to scroll to see your day.

2) Want names of your crew? More taps and drilling down to get to that.

3) No way to tell if you're flying a 700 or 800 without memorizing a dozen codes.

4) When opening the app, it does not snap to the moment in time on your schedule. If you're a PM'er and your operating a flight at 12:01am Herb time, it automatically goes to the flights for the next day versus the flight you're actually operating.

5) Report times are in small font and hard to locate with a quick glance.

6) They tried to copy AvioBook for Dark Mode by using that blue background, which is not easy to read. Some text is a light blue on dark blue background. No contrast in some areas making it hard to see the info you need at a glance.

7) I had an entire trip disappear two days ago...like gone. I assumed someone picked it up in TTGA and was elated, only to discover several hours later that the trip was still present in CWA. The trip was a few days from now, but had it been later that day, I might have no showed. That is a huge issue.

8) Had to turn off Notifications for reasons stated in my post above. Was receiving dozens of notifications about plane changes but there was no plane change.

9) I'm an Apple user and it blew up my Calendar with a large number of duplications. Some days on my calendar have 5 to 15 trips listed for the same day. Had to turn cal syncing off, which the wife used to know what was happening with my trip.

10) I could go on with more, but I doubt anyone has even read this far.

Things I really like:

1) It loads faster.

2) I like how hotel info and transportation info is displayed.

3) I really like how Crew Lounge info is easily accessible.

I understand they were trying to meet contract deadlines for FAs...just wish it could have been beta tested a lot more first before going live. I get it: you're never going to make everyone happy...but this is pretty darn bad and is a huge step backwards. Crew needs to be able to reference pertinent info quickly and efficiently, and then get on with our busy day...not arm-wrestling or digging for info.

I can't agree more. I understand change takes time and sometimes we don't like things simply because we are different, but when I open other apps on my phone/ipad this one really feels like it is a step back in time and the people that are making it are not using it on a daily basis. Honestly, I think it needs a complete redo in terms of layout and functionality.

Reach out to Will and the EFB team then. It's not like they're unwilling to engage on their product. They even wade into the cesspool of Facebook every day to do so. They're staffed by pilots and flight attendants, so it's not as if they're hiding in a cavern beneath headquarters unreachable by conventional means.

If you're a Facebooker, start there. Or call. Or just walk into their office when you're there for CQ.

i think all the points here are valid. I just think this is the wrong venue to do anything other than vent, much less effect change.

I gotta say, W.W. and S.S. and the entire EFB Team are among the most helpful and responsive people in the entire company. They listen, they help, and they do a ton for us. They are truly exceptional.

The problem is the EFB Team was not a part of this. Instead, my understanding is it was the “technology team” that created this new version of CrewHub, which is also the same folks that hastily created the way we have to access free internet on the plane, which met contractual guidelines but is the biggest pain a crew member has ever seen. Really, you can’t port over our Rapid Rewards number into our DH reservation and instead everyone has to manually do it every single time we DH? Not doing something so seemingly simple wreaks of laziness and a lack of concern for your customers, which in this case is all of us. And now we’re seeing the same thing with CrewSnub.

No one knows who the “technology team” is except for our EFB Team and thankfully they are interfacing with them on behalf of us. Other than that, it’s like you described: the technology team is some mythical group that lives somewhere in the depths of the Dallas basements.

Crap. Look at me. I’m not quite at Year 3 pay just yet and I’m already whining, but it’s not hard to get that way when they keep finding ways to make easy hard.

Thanks for listening to my TED Talk.

I miss the original trip function. I was hoping for a better version where the original would stay the original and then whatever you actually flew would be on the other side.

Hope is a dangerous thing.

Well, I got reassigned twice on my last trip and it didn’t show up in CrewHub until an hour or more after the fact. Crew Scheduling had to call me on both occasions and each time I looked and the new assignments were not on CrewHub. Hate to say it, but CWA is better than this garbage app.
