Application window open

First time doing the application and I am wondering what they are looking for on the work history. It’s says 5 years but my flying experience over 4 airlines goes back much farther. Should I just include all flying jobs?

I am far from being an expert on this, but my suggestion is to follow the application instructions very carefully and do exactly as they say. HR is very particular about stuff like that…but as far as your excellent background in flying, your resume can be the place to highlight that. Maybe someone else can chime in on this too.

I did on the other thread where he asked the same question.

Long time lister, first time caller.

First attempt at SWA! Considering the Spirit situation is this competitive or considered too late?

TT: 10000
TPIC 2900
6 Types: emb145, 747, 767, 757, CE-500, CL-65

No failures and clean history.

Thanks

I'm not at SWA, but have direct family there. I think they are keeping their promise to the 225, but aside from that they prefer people with experience. Clean record, tonnes of hours definitely sounds competitive to me. Also, UA and DL are hiring, so apply everywhere, you can always decline/leave.

Sorry but do you mind explaining the 225 program?

I don't disagree about the other companies but it slightly turned me off when they all started hiring right seat to right seat from the regionals. Not saying the pilots are good or bad quality but I somewhat have to question the motivation to hire guys with ZERO captain experience?

Thanks

The motivation was a perceived shortage of quality applicants. So they created a pipeline where you would interview before you actually were qualified, then got your ratings and experience, and started with SWA. At UA I've flown with guys with zero PIC before they got hired. I'm sure the same happened at DL+AA. It was a fluke based on covid, way too many early out offers, followed by panic hiring when things moved back to normal. I honestly don't think it will happen again in my lifetime.

They all hired with zero captain time then, including southwest. I should've applied everywhere then, i missed that wave.

Dude, they'll probably hire you and give you my seniority number. Sounds pretty competitive to me.

wait, you’re gonna turn your nose up at a legacy cause they hired people without PIC time? SWA did the same thing.
