we already agreed to co-terminals but they can’t implement that til like 2028 or when the rest of the CBA is implemented. Couldn’t tell you if we’re getting any gates there…they don’t tell us that stuff that far out.

I would say it's very likely SWA will be in DFW but it won't matter for anyone junior. DFW flying I assume would go very senior based on the contract rules with regard to co-terminals and the amount of pilots that live over that way.

I doubt it would be a base in any short term. If anything, more like an entry into ORD with a few gates to start.

Well it won't be base because there is co-terminal language, if they choose to exercise that.

IMO we could have been more efficient with more bases anyways. Should have added SAN, AUS, STL or MCI years ago. It’s just a bummer for the junior peeps. PNW base is needed also but there is nowhere to stick one.

What would be the estimated EFC time for a new hire to get ATL base, with MCO or BNA as a second and third choice?

PDX. Just cuz other airlines have a base doesn’t mean you can’t too. The PNW is an afterthought at this company…there’s a lot of untapped markets in that area.

ATL is pretty quick if you work for Delta. Next to never working at SWA. MCO is jr for FO’s and BNA prob 3-6 mos…all this is dependent on if planning keeps kicking people out of their bases for no reason though.

Rest assured, they’re minimizing it to the extent possible, as they always do

When SWAPA did the last polling they mentioned smaller bases. Which means something probably the company has brought up or thinking about.
