No, can't take credit for this one, but the way we make brisket looks just like this and after about 3-4 tries, I think we have it down to a science, right to the smoke ring.

Enjoy life a little. Maybe just don’t enjoy it too much. Bacon is a carcinogen too. They just reclassified it and put it with some of the big ones. Won’t stop me from eating bacon once in a while. I just won’t put it on my cereal anymore.
Yup. As I was wheeled into the OR for a stent the surgeon cackled “thought you could escape your genes, did ya !?” I thought it was hilarious; mainly due to the cocktail of preop pharma coursing through my body. I was quietly pleased by the thought that it wasn’t the drinking and the smoking that got me.

Heim BBQ just outside DAL on Mockingbird is legit. Apparently the guy who opened the joint worked at Franklin’s back in the day.

You think I wasn’t doing this? Of course this. I’ve been Mediterranean diet for a long time. Statins started before my issue was discovered after a long time trying to improve levels through diet and exercise, supplements like red rice yeast etc.
I was an athlete through high school, active in college, never obese, never smoker, use the gym, etc.

Some people are just susceptible.

Walkable from the doubletree when you are there for training. Been twice...its slightly above the average id say.

I feel about the same. It's not bad, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Still, almost anything is better than the squadron meeting at the SPG. Ugh.

Is that the one just two doors down from the Doubletree? I definitely appreciate it but it’s fairly unremarkable in the world of Texas BBQ. If it were located in most other states, it might be the best!

Did the Frisco location of Hutchins' this time around during CQ. It was good, but I got myself and my partner a beef rib each without realizing they charge $55 each for them.
Um...yeah. They weren't that good.

Their brisket rocks and I appreciate the unlimited free desserts. Still think McKinney location is better.

Yep, that's the one. It'll do in a pinch if I don't want to walk far, but it definitely didn't blow me away. Too bad Hard Eight isn't closer!
