The question still remains

No you're unbelievable (childish retort I know, but it's intentional to show the childishness of the original statement).
Change the word SWAPA to ALPA you'll see the truth of this acquisition.
ALPA gets everything SWAPA has worked for.
You want SWAPA to get nothing for it.
I think you're really angry because you're so wrong about everything and you can't get over it. You had your heart set on an arbitrator sticking it to us and you're just not going to get that satisfaction.
Sorry TSquare, but we're going to vote this thing in and it will turn out that everything is just fine.
BTW, I just finished a trip with a Morris guy. We had a great time.

Still here, are they? I can't wait for the commentary on their contract negotiations, you know the part when DALPA explains there's nothing they can do about codeshare, payrates, etc. Then we can chat about not having the huevos.
Tsquare mostly posts this crap while drunk after a Tennessee Volunteer loss, which is pretty much every weekend. When is Vanderbilt slated to kick the vols around? I may have to go to a sports bar to see it, because my cable service doesnt' carry games that far in the periphery. University of Alabama Birmingham, maybe. Vols/Commodores no way.
Make sure you're wearing your cover out there, admiral. You have a van to command.

Tsquare: If you are originally Northwest disregard the following.
If you want to talk about not screwing pilots maybe you should stop Delta from using regional jets to wipsaw pilots since Delta started this whole mess with Comair.

AirTran pilots aren't newbies. They are experienced major airline pilots. You are right, they do get some seniority (after losing 20-30% of what they had). Killer pay rates? Maybe. Eventually. For Some. They only thing AT pilots and new hires have in common is that they will all start in the right seat of the B737.

"Not having to lift a finger" ? Seriously? I guess the Airtran guys must have just awakened one day and been a 737 Captain.
"In exchange for this" ? There was no exchange between the pilots of the both sides. One company bought the other. You treat this like the Airtran pilots had some say in the matter.
I wouldn't dare tell you how your integration should go down, but I'll dare tell you that the condescension and arrogance shown by the SWAPA ten percent on here are appalling.
Total number of Southwest pilots: ~6000
Total number of (alleged) Southwest pilots that post regularly on APC: ~10

That makes no sense whatsoever. I don't think you have any idea what you are talking about.

Compared to ATN's current contract, SWA's contract is a superior contract. Look it up....it's not even a debatable position. The other two sentences are ignorance followed by a hypothetical. IOW, meaningless drivel.
No, but they did literally awaken one morning a little more than a year ago to discover they will eventually become SWA pilots (and enjoy that superior contract!) through no direct action on their part. IOW, without having to lift a finger. Like not having to apply; or land an interview; or have a 73-type; or make it through a year's probation with no union representation. Why is that so hard for some of you to understand?
I'd like to respond to this, but I'm really not sure what you're talking about. Reread my original post and try it again.
Thanks for the first. As for the second, check your math:
Total number of Southwest pilots: ~6000
Total number of (alleged) Southwest pilots that post regularly on APC: ~10

Good Luck with the next buy out. I predict that the workers at your next integration will be somewhat less than ready to accept your largess. Unless it's an extremely small carrier such as Spirit. Spirit ALPA would probably just take a staple and be happy.
OBTW, the "ten percent" language is generally understood to mean a small and unrepresentative sampling of a group. Most of us know that it means "the troublemakers". I guess you and I have that going for us.
