ATN and SWAPA pass SLI by 83%

Personally, as a Delta guy, I'm ecstatic! Not only can we now point to the AAI/SWA rates in ATL and ask the company why they think it's OK to pay our female and minority pilots less than the white males at our direct competitor, (and by extension, me!,) but as SWA chokes down that last bite of AAI, we can pull the welcome mat out from under you!
GAME ON!
(As an aside, we can finally watch Clark Howard have an aneurism when he finally figures out that SWA is not the cheapest carrier out there, and AAI actually had lower rates in ATL already!)

Wow! Absolutely amazing!
The most important part of this vote is the percentage YES votes by the ATN side. I don't see how you can possibly claim that the SWAPA proposal wasnt within the very large envelope of what could be considered fair. There'd be no way to get an 85% vote if it was all about threats, IMO.
Congratulations to the new Southwest.

Why do I feel like my dog died and everyone is trying to cheer me up by saying that my new puppy will be better. (Wasn't that the ending of Old Yeller?)
It is still going to hard to get that SWA Spirit knowing that I'm furlough fodder for 3 years. Oh, I will be getting B scale pay for those same years...so I got that going for me.

Good luck to you all, I hope that the group will move forward together and pilots won't hold any grudges or gloat over the results. Anyone outside of the AAI/SWA that has an opinion on the "fairness" of the voting environment is irrelevant.
Less competition will make ALL of us stronger and able to command better wages and working conditions.
