Default New SWA bases

Any guesses on the new bases?

I've heard all kinds of rumors like the 717s in either TPA/PHL/BWI/BOS/FLL and a couple others. 737s in DEN/BUR/BOS. What's the rumors on the other side of the fence?

I've fished this one around and the rumors are all over the map. Not sure about the 717 but the 737 rumors are, in order of believability (IMHO):

LA group base that includes LAX, ONT, SNA and maybe BUR

DEN. It's already bigger than some of our other bases.

TPA, because it should have been a base before MCO. And maybe this would get TPA a better food court.

SMF combined with OAK (I have trouble believing this but I've heard it too many times)

BOS. BOS load factors have been huge and even though we don't have many gates there, evidently AT does.

Also heard that the 717's will stay mostly east to avoid creating another 717 mx base.

Disclaimer: I'm usually wrong about all this stuff. But these are the rumors I'm hearing.

Not that it means much but JetBlue just took over ATs 3 Bos Gates in the C terminal.

From training I hear SAN SMF LAX TPA and PHL. Not sure about the 717 side. Apparently DEN is out of the question now.

Default SWA domiciles

Does WN have specific domiciles for the different 737's or are the domiciles for all of them?

What I'm trying to explain with this is other airlines that have other aircraft types in their fleet are not based at all of their domiciles. An example of this is Delta MD-88/90's are out of ATL, NYC (EWR, JFK and LGA), and MSP.

As of right now, all WN domiciles are for all 737s (-300, -500, and -700). Every pilot at every base is qualified all types. This will soon extend to the -800 for domestic ops. Hasn't always been from what I understand. When the -200 was being phased out, they started to limit it to the TX domiciles as far as who the company wanted to keep qualified.

Don't pull the power on that 800 until you want to come out of the sky (unless you're doing a flaps 15 landing)... hopefully the memo will say that.
