WN 737-800 first flight

They sure do. Same wing, same motors, same fuel tanks.
I enjoyed having the 27k motors on both the 700 and 800... do a double derated takeoff on the 700 and get almost a 10% increase in N1 when you go to climb power. That was a nice kick in the pants... flying that thing was the most enjoyable part of my 737 time.
The 800s were kind of doggy when heavy- you'd have to start out at FL320 for a long transcon in the summer. Flying it reminded me more of a better responsive MD-88 or a sloppy 757. The landing technique was very similar to the 88 as far as when to pull the power and the look.

From the looks of it ftb, they see out the window by looking out them.
Reducing the volume of the american idol flunky FA singing about her cat collection and how the captain brutally murdered "Sprinkles" is a more difficult task.

Dang, that is really fast! I thought CRJ-200s were one of the fastest on approach. 155 and up is way fast, especially for a wing with slats. A 737 does have leading edge devices, right? Why is it so fast, especially faster than an aircraft without slats?
