It's actually called PFD/ND now.
Primary Flight Display/ Navigational Display Is that not industry standard, or did we reinvent the wheel.........again? Who else, but us and CAL used the POSG/HAND (Picture Of Steam Gauges Display/Half A$$ed Navigation Display)? I just love internet forum pedantry! ;) |

Pardon me, for I am an outsider, and I know not what is the latest and greatest with the SWA 737 Classic cockpits, but what happened to this?

I believe the vendor wasn't going to do it for peanuts. GK then lost interest.

Slightly off topic but has anyone heard what the MAX's overhead will be like?

1) Replace all the 687-powered annunciator lights with LEDs (less heat.) 2) Separate sound effects for the takeoff config and cabin altitude warnings ...but I'm standing by to be disappointed. :o |

Who knows, but you're smart for not holding your breathe. Also heard that the MAX will have crosshair FDs and the NGs will be flipped over to them as well. Don't know, don't care, just bring that effing overhead up to date for crying out loud. |
