Default Codeshare within this ring is ridiculous

This is the range of the 700 MAX departing FLL. There should ZERO codeshare within this range. This is flying SWA is capable of with aircraft currently on order. We need to draw a range circle from every Southwest city and demand specific exclusion of any codeshare within these areas.

Don't get me wrong, I'm fully against any and all codeshare at SWA, but if we capitulate to any outsourcing within these ranges we as a group have failed miserably.

I don't know the actual economics, but I suppose a great deal of the profitability of those routes outside of the vacation locals is the belly freight that can be carried on larger aircraft. I know that flowers and asparagus are among the highly prized shipments from SA. When I'm on those flights there doesn't seem to be a plethora of high passenger fares.

All that may very well be true, but that is another solid reason not to open Pandora's Box. If it isn't an area of high profitability then the company surely shouldn't "need" the small amount of additional revenue brought in through codeshare on these routes. Buy enough planes to operate those routes yourself or forego any thought of additional revenue through codeshare. Giving ANY codeshare relief during these times of record profits is the height of foolishness.

Great. Let's get those bigger aircraft and fly that profitable belly freight ourselves. NO CODESHARE RELIEF!!!

I was told it's not codeshare. It's interline.
