Just looked at Pops Leather. The jacket starts at $410 there before embroidery and liner. Is there some sort of deal I don't know about with them?

That has gone up quite a bit then. It used to be about $100 less. Considering they are a Turkish company, they are making a killing already on the strength of the dollar.

I bought at the end of last year. It was around $360 with a disclaimer that the price would be rising sometime in 2016. Perrone is $406 now so it's a wash. You'll get the Pop's faster (within a month). The Perrone is heavier so might be a bit warmer and will take a few months to get.

No idea...I didn't even get mine til after training was done so not sure what you're talking about. Nobody on the line has said anything because nobody cares.

Hey Guys and Gals, got the call today with the offer and expect a Feb class date. Just want to say thank you to the people who took the time to answer my questions. Also want to apologize bc I am now going to ask more questions most of which are unimportant for now.

1. Do you get discounts on cell phone plans?
2. Does Southwest have a credit union and is there any advantages to it
3. When does pass benefits start for the family?
4.Can you roll over your 401k Immediately?
5. I know that they are multiple options for health care what is the difference between the best and the cheapest for a family of 5 also do you get it day 1?
6. With uniforms can you buy your own pants and shirts or do they have to be from SWA.

1. Do you get discounts on cell phone plans? Yes...like 24% with att. Not sure on others
2. Does Southwest have a credit union and is there any advantages to it. Yes...they go over it in training. I haven't signed up for it
3. When does pass benefits start for the family? Day 1
4.Can you roll over your 401k Immediately? As soon as your Schwab acct is set up
5. I know that they are multiple options for health care what is the difference between the best and the cheapest for a family of 5 also do you get it day 1? I pay 0 for a $200 deductible plan. Takes effect day 1
6. With uniforms can you buy your own pants and shirts or do they have to be from SWA. Have to buy thru M&H for initial. Get a allowance for new uniform thru M&H. Can buy elsewhere if it matches but no allowance
Answered above. Welcome aboard.

1.
2. Does Southwest have a credit union and is there any advantages to it...Southwest Airlines Credit Union. 4% dividend on checking as long as you have direct deposit (any $ amount) and 15 debit card transactions (of any $ amount). They'll be there during training
3.
4.
5. I know that they are multiple options for health care what is the difference between the best and the cheapest for a family of 5 also do you get it day 1? Get the Regular Plan. It's a contractually required plan that the company likely would rather not offer. They will advertise it by telling you everything it does NOT cover. But at $0 monthly premium (yes, $0) a $300 annual deductible for you and family, and max out of pocket of $2500 annually, you'd have to spend around $6000 per year on preventative stuff before the next cheapest plan becomes a viable option. There's a Facebook group all about the regular plan because the literature will do a good job to scare you away from it. Just about my entire class switched last month now that we've settled into the job for a few months and can see this plan for what it is.
6. With uniforms can you buy your own pants and shirts or do they have to be from SWA. Buy your own shirts! Wish I had known this before I bought those M&H shirts. My "A Cut Above" shirts just got delivered yesterday.

Congrats! See above...welcome aboard!

Default Southwest questions

A cut above shirts are about the best I've tried. Van Heusen commander is second best. I wax my car with my M&H shirts.

Ditto, I wore them exlusively for a few years and they were excellent. If 'A Cut Above' shirts came in B6 Blue I'd be a happy camper....sadly they do not.
