The profit sharing is nice as is the big company resources. NK will be 15% DC retirement by DOS+4 I'm sure United is still a little better. Just trying to guage/compare how green the other side really is as a lot of us have no intention of leaving.
A 2015 hire would be on or about to go on 4th year pay here at UA. The FO 4th yr pay rates are as follows:

777/787/767-400 = $201/hr
767-300/757-300 = $166/hr
757-200/737-8,9/A320 = $162/hr
737-7/A319 = $155/hr

401k = 16%
Profit Sharing was additional 6.1% for 2017
12 days off a month minimum
73 hr reserve gaurantee
5 hr/ calendar day guarantee, trip rigs 1 hr for every 3.5 way minimum, as well as backside of the clock pay protections .... Not sure of your work rules so difficult to get into too much here.
Not sure of Spirit's Medical/Dental/Ins stuff so difficult to compare there as well.

We just had a large vacancy bid open yesterday, so come next week we will have a better idea what a 2015 hire can hold by this Fall, but everyone is speculating that in SFO and prob LAX and EWR the 777/787 FO bids will go well below a 2015 hire, so the top pay rate above would be in play. Before this vacancy bid, the bottom 777/787 FO in the system is about 1500 seniority numbers up from the bottom of the seniority list, so that is prob a 2014 or early 2015 hire?? That junior pilot is still another 2000ish seniority numbers from junior Captain, again before the current vacancy bid gets closed. NB Captain rates at yr 4 are 255+/hr.

With all that said, by far the most important part of a QOL discussion is do you live where you are based?? If one airline has a base where you live (or want to live) and the other does not, the discussion on QOL is over!!

Good info... As for QOL and being based where you live, ALWAYS remember bases can close and you'll never be disappointed. Well maybe alittle, but it makes it easier if you've accepted that reality prior to the announcement.

With Envoy's HVA (High Value Aviator) program, read street CA and 6 year flow to AA, it makes perfect sense. Unfortunately, I washed out of NK training so I'm not eligible. I'm personal friends with Connie Kalitta and he offered me a job but I decided to regroup for a bit instead and joined Envoy as a Flight Attendant.

This place is the biggest waste of time I’ve ever seen. People are trying to have a serious discussion and this idiot always has to show up. They must have blocked his other account because he has a new user name. You’re not funny dude. Get a life

Gee, so glad you are concerned about a fellow aviator down on his luck. Maybe you should try one of the What's App discussions. It's a great place for guys like you who start every topic with "I voted no because..." or "See, I told you idiots not to vote yes, we knew this would happen."

Lighten up man. It’s actually kind of humorous.

You’re right, I was taking this too seriously. Never in the best of moods waking up from day sleep after a red eye. Carry on. I wish him the best of luck at Envoy.
