The queens hotel absolutely sucked for long periods of time with no food anywhere. I agree with that move. However the company countered so now there are only 2-4 long NYC overnights and they are not long. 14hrs about with hour long nausea inducing rides both directions. Am I the only one that gets car sick as a passenger in stop and go traffic.

I will have some serious words for anyone wanting a downtown ord hotel.

Well I hate the shuttle in ORD. Usually end up having to take a cab because it takes longer than 30 minutes after block to show up. And then the requisite 2 or 3 stops at other hotels on the drive to the airport. It is what it is, I suppose. Dont really care to move, just not one of my favorite hotels.

However I am curious to see these "serious words" you speak of for anyone wanting a downtown ORD.

Ha. No serious words but I'm gonna be angry and stuff. Lol. I did forget about the stop at the Hilton. That does suck. Van comes on the :20 :40 :00. I don't wait for the FAs and I let the other guy know we need to either walk fast or we can stroll. I've always made it down there in about ten minutes and never waited more than a few minutes. The can is your right and I've used it many places without a second thought but not in ord so far thankfully

That's the language in the CBA. Most of our long layover hotels are located downtown although there are some exceptions. ORD (Rosemont) and IAH (the Galleria) are two examples that come to mind. Although not located downtown technically, they are nice hotels in good locations that have been signed off on by the hotel committee.

Just don't forget to pee, grabs two bottles of water, a meal, freshly charged phone, and saddle up the pack mule for the trip in Houston.

It's a nice hotel that's up to an hour away. Apparently there isn't anything else in the largest city in the second largest state closer to the airport. You know, like Kingwood, Humble, Conroe...

There is actually but they don't want our business. We've tried. Don't shoot the messenger. That's the answer I got when I asked about something in the woodlands area

Being low tier blows.

I would love a downtown Chicago hotel, long van ride or not. It's in our contract, and we should have it.

In my opinion, DFW long is the worst. It's not even close to being downtown, it makes no sense to me.

Oh no. You've done it now...

Prepare for the "strong words" from QOTSA

You were warned!

No car sickness but I did knock a tooth loose on the bumpy ride to Livonia once.
