We should be aiming for senior guys getting JRM and their juniors all get paid for the same trip filing NCCs for not being called for the trip. Company pays several times JRM for same trip. FUPM. That's the only way we get a contract, by hurting them in the pocketbook.

"Spirit 777 left on kilo, contact Ground". Bam! "After landing checklist". APU on. Safety first guys.

Wow, you rebel. Waiting until the after landing checklist to start the APU...whereas the manual now has us do it right after the after landing checklist, up and avail prior to shutting down #2. Thats like 10 seconds earlier than necessary!! Wild man!

I heard you also don't wear the yellow vest on walk arounds and I heard, on good authority, you open your ketchup packets from the side that doesnt say "tear here".

lol...

I can almost forgive a first year for doing a JM. But the CA? WT*? I'd like to pay off the remaining debt from my first year pay too, but I'll donate blood before doing a JM.

I hope for their sake their personal strike fund planning is better than their first year pay budgeting then. It's not like you walk in day 1 not knowing what you're in for.

The good news is, by the time we strike I will be on 4th year pay. And my budgeting is fine. But as a first year FO at Spirit, I am the lowest paid 121 pilot in the U.S. EVERY other 121 gig pays more first year. I could leave Spirit and go to Silver Wings or Great Lakes and make more than I do now.

It's hilarious how many of the Captains I fly with totally swallow the Bendo and Jryi special sauce. This was my first JM of the year. All the rest of my flying has been RSV. 90% of the time I am flying with guys who are either doing a trip for a JM or for Move Up. I have had several guys, despite my protest, change times in the MCDU. Most of you just think Spirit is the greatest thing that ever happened in your career. "Man I can't believe I upgraded in 2 years here, my QOL is amazing and I am driving to work. We'll get a contract eventually but right now it's all about getting paid the most and working the least amount possible." Seriously, you guys talk a big game on here and then choke the load down when it is offered. Many don't wear the lanyard either. And yeah, I did know what I was getting into when I came here but I also knew you could take 5 JM's a year too. What's sad is had I been hired in 2009 I would have made more first year then than I will in 2017. Guess I have you to thank for that.

You sound like you're getting close to the end of 1st year pay. I remember just being flat out angry the last 3 months on 1st year pay. Job felt more like a "hobby" and less like a "profession" at that point, literally costing you money to fly a plane.

I remember the frustration. Sucked. 2nd year pay helps a lot, and hopefully we can get some more scratch for everyone during that time.
