Strike Vote Challenge
What do you guys & gals say to a little Frontier versus Spirit strike vote challenge?
Highest Participation Percentage for eligible pilots wins?
Just for bragging rights, it seems fitting since our votes close at the same time.
May the most p!ssed off pilot group WIN!!!
(Note: I would say highest % in favor but that's a bit of a no-brainer).

One of two unions MUST get the "market rate" contract we're both seeking before that can happen, otherwise it will certainly become more difficult to negotiate a JCBA.

I hate to be optimistic but they have to know if we don't get a contract for another 3 years in this environment that our big yellow boat will sink. Merging 2 angry pilot groups and trying to grow while delaying contracts is an idea that might have worked 5 years ago but not today. With all of the retirements and flow deals now I think the only card NK and F9 will have in the future is pay to keep people from bailing to name brand airlines.

it's actually making sense since the nmb is hinting at release after only 2 years of negotiations. do any legal experts know the ramifications of a merger in parlay to contract negotiations? i can't find anything in our playbook-----

From our F9 MEC:
"Frontier Pilots:
The MEC is pleased to announce the results of our strike authorization balloting. Voting closed at 800 MDT this morning and the results have been certified by ALPA's Election and Ballot Certification Board. 99 percent of those eligible to vote cast ballots, and of those voting, an incredible 100 percent voted in favor of permitting the MEC to call a strike if the NMB releases us to self-help.
This is an outstanding show of unity and solidarity, and we do not take it lightly. You have placed your faith and trust in us, and we will not let you down in our quest for a market-rate contract. Your support has given us a powerful tool and additional leverage at the bargaining table, where we will be holding two mediation sessions this month. Whether we will have to enter self-help to achieve that goal is up to the NMB, and especially, up to the company."
