I started a previous thread saying this thing is a NO!

I wrote that when the TA first came out and the changes alarmed me. It was a knee jerk reaction that I’ve come to regret.

I’ve done a lot of listening to peers that I respect and a lot of reading of the Q&A sections that have been provided. I’ve attended a roadshow and heard a lot of questions being asked and answered.

I understand that there are parts that I’m not happy with, but I’m voting yes on this contract.

There are more reasons to vote yes, for the average pilot, than to vote no. You guys need to step back from the chat rooms and email the NC. They will answer promptly.

The rumors and conspiracy theories are embarrassingly stupid. Grow up! All the information is there in front of you and all the resources are available to you. Nothing is being held back.

At this point, I feel the NO voters are never going to be happy with any explanation. Vote for yourself and your situation. Don’t vote a certain way because it’s doing the right thing for the industry. There is no clear pathway to a better TA. The whatsapp loudmouths will be nowhere to be seen, if this falls apart. Take note of who they are now and see if they step up later.

Good post. I was kinda waffling at first, then I went to a road show. So many myths on APC and whatsap were dispelled, and the more I look at this TA, the more I like it. Big boxes were checked in Pay, pay scale slope, a 12 year scale, LTD, better scope, long call reserve, better sick leave, and a DC. No changes in healthcare. We knew transition conflict would go. $14 in gains for every $1 lost. This is probably the most money we can get at this time.

The only thing that bugs me is no reserve drops after PBS implementation. But the substantial gains totally outweigh that. I'm a solid yes.

I was a no vote right away too! I was even quoted as saying this TA was garbage.

It was either His living touch, or actually reading the TA over and over again, going to a roadshow and also watching/listen to the other road shows online. Logic prevails.

You guys read it on your own without any input. Decided you were “hell no’s.” Then you sat through and read ALPA’s sell job and are now “hell yes’s.” It always looks better when presented by ALPA.

I read the TA and I said NO way.

Then I watched the ALPA video and realized that there is so much more that we giving up. So i voted today, HELL NO.

Spirit Airlines is going to have a unbelievable cost advantage over the competition.

What a terrible thing to work for a company that has a future to grow and don’t forget that provides long term stability for you and your family.

Ok...you do work for Spirit Airlines, right? Based on the TA presentation by the NC and ALPA financial data, our cost advantage diminishes greatly with this deal. Sure, I wanted industry standard across the board, but working for a financially healthy company is important too. Those raises do you no good if the company can’t survive or grow. No, I’m not management or a kool-aid drinker so save the comments. I’m looking at this TA logically, and it’s mostly a win for us.

Do you honestly believe significant gains will be made on TA2? Enough to offset the money lost by not having this thing ratify? I seriously doubt it. I’d be willing to bet my entire signing bonus check on it. I’m not thrilled about this TA either, but I have not heard one reasonable argument about the path forward if this thing gets shot down.

I’ve heard a lot of senior guys say the biggest reason why they are voting NO is that they don’t want the junior guys to have to suffer through the “terrible” reserve language. None of the junior guys I have talked to give a crap and are ready for a pay raise lol.

Not bullying, just tired of the apc and WhatsApp guys embarrassing the pilot group. Professionals are supposed to educate themselves before making decisions right? Like we all check our notams before departure. Right?

Finally someone who makes sense. When they say at the road show “this is the best we could do” I am not convinced. The pay scale alone is enough to vote No. was in GS 2 days ago and out of 8 people, only 2 were YES FWIW

I think you are in for a big shock on Feb 28th, it will probably go 7 to 3 for the TA.

Easy to vote no when your sugar daddy at Delta pays your bills.

Th more I read APC, the more I can’t wait for this to be over in two weeks
