Good for you, but is it representative of the entire pilot group and worth a letter to the FAA? This captain is an embarrassment to our pilot group; should have simply notified a rep with the concern and kept the issue internal.

Yeah. Going to the FAA is a pitch in the dirt. Should be kept in house.

But........ I understand the frustration these days. I used to go to work to get away from my kids.

Whenever I fly, I always hop in, get situated, then call sterile cockpit phones off and before start checklist.

This is a prime example of what NOT to do as a CA.
This "CA" has no CA authority characteristics, values or knowledge.
Did pro standards call this "CA" in?
Please tell me it's MR, one of them is more than enough!
