It’s been exactly a week since my interview and I haven’t heard anything. I know a couple guys received offers earlier this week. I thought I would at least receive an email before all hope was lost but maybe that’s expecting too much. I appreciate all the information and to those who reached out to me. Good luck to everyone who is still in the process. I have another interview coming up in a couple weeks. I will continue to stay positive and take solace in the fact that I still have a job.

Thanks everyone!

No news is good news. I heard of some pilots who waited a week before hearing anything.

I believe most of the rejection emails go out pretty quickly. If you haven’t heard anything yet it is probably because they hired a bunch and haven’t made it down the list to you yet. Good luck!

Where’s your next interview?

Just got the rejection email a couple hours ago so it’s official. It was a good experience nonetheless.

If Spirit wants you they reach out fast! Normally. The longer the wait you are either on the bottom of the offer list or you didn't get hired. That's how it works.

Hey man, what kind of experience/ credentials did you have to land the interview? I can't even get them to interview me☹

Hows the commute from PHX to LAS and / or DFW?

any commute to/from Vegas is rough, flights always full

In my experience LAS is one of the easiest airports to commute to if you’re coming from another west coast city. High frequency from most major cities, mostly mainline operations, very little competition for the jumpseat (just a few NK and SWA commuters), and weather is very rarely if ever an issue. I was planning on moving to base when I first came here but decided to just stay put and commute because it has been so painless. I’m not a PHX or DFW commuter so I can’t speak to those specifically but I’ve flown with quite a few PHX commuters and most seem to think it’s pretty easy as far as commutes go.
