this must be a separate incident…the story I was told was a guy had his “hot box” start to smoke like it shorted out or something and lots of smoke in the cockpit.

Lots of captains have Hot Logics.

Lots of captains are idiots then if they are using them in flight.

Start a fire, lose your job. Frankly, any pilot that starts a fire while cooking food in flight should be treated as a criminal imo. Rediculous behavior.

yeah Captains, First officers, Second officers, Engineers, and Navigators. Nobody should be using that stuff and causing fires.

without looking at it, I can pretty much tell you any base at Spirit as an FO is attainable in a few month or less.

I know Las Vegas right now is the most junior for newbies.

What's the latest on new hires holding ATL?

Justabusdriver1 03-22-2023 11:39 AM

ALL new hires (except for maybe the most senior new hires each month) are getting LAS for the first bid, subsequent bids you’re able to get out of las but atl for those in my class took 7-8 months from indoc to obtain. They spent 3-4 months out on the line at other bases.
