No idea who started this myth. Training pay ends when you, and only you, finish OE

You guys are ridiculous. Read the contract

CONTRACT says

New Hire Training Pay

During initial new hire training and prior to release to the line, the pilot shall receive a monthly salary of $1,000 and monthly expenses of $750 prorated on a daily basis for a par-tial month. If, “through no fault of his own,” a pilot does not finish initial new hire training or is not released to the line within 90 days of his date of hire, he will be paid in accor-dance with the provisions of Section 4.A and per diem as per Section 5.B. The term “through no fault of the pilot's own” shall not include actions by the pilots such as: “No showing” for training events, “failures” that elongate the process, ad-ditional training above the normal curricula, etc.

No need to speculate. We have a contract. Read the damn thing.

The other thing I am trying to figure out is if the training pay is only 1,000/month, when does year 2 pay start? On the anniversary of starting class, or the anniversary of training completion? Thanks. Trying to figure out the financial details.
Nothing really conflicting about it: training pays crappy and almost an insult to a pilot moving onto an Airbus and a "major" airline.

It's basically like having a training contract without saying the you have one. Or designed especially for people with no financial need nor responsibility for 90 days. It's like saying "move back with your parents" or "go get a credit card debt"

How about the guys that paid $8k+ for a 737 type just to interview? The union feel that no resources should be spent on the training scam, I mean new hire pay!! I wouldn't apply under those pay rates today.

I will be starting class in early 2019 and was wondering if anyone can tell me currently how long it takes to get long call reserve in ACY? I understand this will change. I was also curious if there is a way for me to see how the pay rates increase over time with the new contract as I can only see what is posted on this website. I will not be done with IOE before March 2019.

2 LCR RES lines for ACY for NOV. DOH for pilots are: 10/2017 and 01/2017. So 13 months.

You will get a copy of the contract im sure after you start. Interesting to take a job without actually seeing the full pay package and contract you will be working under, but that's not my concern.

For now, just know you will be getting hired at the training pay of $1000 a month and $750 per diem, and as of March 1 you will be at first year DOS2 of $57.07/hr
