I heard them say there’s 25 slots each session. Face to face time isn’t guaranteed this round.

I emailed and haven’t heard back for four days. |

Did anyone get an address with their confirmation email? All I got was a date and time with no mention of exactly where it will be.

That’s the flyer I got for the Denver Meet the Chiefs event. They attached the flyer on the first response email.

Are they doing on the spot interviews at the meet the chiefs? Or is it more this could lead to an interview?

I got an email yesterday that said to bring resumes and prepare to be able to meet face to face with the chiefs/HR after the presentation.

Is there anyone here going to the event out in LAX? I'm new to the 121 side of things and am curious how this compares to a regular job fair? I have an invitation and will be at the event on the 12th. I've just heard so many different opinions on what to expect. I think I have my ducks in a row, just trying to get a good grasp on things.

During the virtual fair a couple weeks ago the representatives said this round of meet the chiefs is primarily just a presentation. Time permitting they’ll meet with attendees.
I cannot wait! I have the type and am current 121. I don’t want to count any chickens before they are hatched, but would one think I have a good chance? I’ll be meeting with them next week 😎 |
What would be the specific things to ask? Ask about growth, company ethos etc. I figure this would also be covered in the presentation. Is there a real question that they want to hear etc for the job?
Cheers |
If anyone went to the ATL meet the chiefs today I'm sure a bunch of us would appreciate some insight.

They keep all the resumes and said that showing up to events like this is a great way to get the call if you’re competitive. AVG hire time is 5500 total according to the presentation and they are serious about the 3000TT+. Doesn’t seem like much vetting was done in regards to who got the invite. All in all, worthwhile experience. Got a great vibe from the Chief’s and ALPA reps that showed up. Don’t think I will get a call but hopefully this will mean something sometime down the road. |

2 hour block, 45 minute company presentation, 15-30 minute Q&A, whatever time is left is scramble time to shake a hand and drop off a resume. If they like what they see on your paper it’s a conversation - if not it’s a quick thanks see you later. Expect some nonchalant conversation, not TMAAT or technical questions.

No need, just bring a big stupid smile and wait to see if they are in the mood

So here was my take on the Meet the Chiefs:
I went to the meet in LAX and had the first session, which was 10am. There was 20 pilots that attended and 3 chiefs. I have a corporate part 91 background and although there was one other corporate guy there, the remaining attendees were skywest pilots mixed in with 2-3 Mesa guys. They started the presentation by flat out stating that this is not an interview, nor are we being evaluated in any way. We went around the room and introduced ourselves along with a general description of our background. The chiefs then went right into about an hour company presentation followed by Q & A. It was very informal and even the chiefs were cracking a few jokes. Although most of everyone showed up in a suit and tie, I'm not sure it was necessary. Even the chiefs were wearing nothing more than casual. After the Q & A session, they told us that this is our time to meet with them one on one and hand them a resumè. I was able to talk with all 3 chiefs for about 5-10 minutes a piece. They asked very basic background questions , i.e failed checkrides, will anything pop up on a background check? Kind of thing. They said that formal interviews will pick back up in about a month and that class dates are full through February. They said that Spirit is no longer doing job fairs and that this will become the normal first step in getting that interview. I brought my log book along with a list of references and letters of recommendation. They told the group, that today they will only be accepting the resumè and to hold anything and everything else for the actual interview. I've been reading these gouges like it's my job the last month or so, so I hope this information is able to help someone else out. |

They certainly emphasized that this was a very important first step in getting an interview.

Very casual, Chiefs told us we can lose the jackets and ties, but obviously no one did. They did a very good job of making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. At the end of the presentation and the Q&A, the actual meet and greet began. As TD mentioned above, they aren't evaluation officially, but this was certainly your time to shine and make an impression. They did highlight that this event certainly counts as credit for applicants, and IMO, and what I took away from what the CPs said, this puts MTC attendees in the front of the line for evaluation before new invites to interviews are determined. Few interview style questions were asked in meet and greet portion, "Why Spirit?" "Tell me about failures." "Tell me a little bit about yourself" (etc). They have to move quick through the attendees as their time is limited. So I would recommend having your bullet points laid out on selling yourself. Good luck, everyone. |

For your edification. Just talked to a friend of mine who went to the ATL Meet The Chiefs. Three days later he got the call for a November Interview.
His experience is very competitive and I was pretty sure he would get the call. 121 PIC "Heavy" time 8000+ Hours |

Basically they go back to the hiring folks with the Resumes from these events. I’m sure they get scored and whoever is competitive gets a call. The gist I got was this. Classes are full thru February. They don’t like have a massive pool of guys. I get the bunch they aren’t going to be calling a lot or interviewing a lot the next month or so. I think after the new year you may see a steady stream. They want to hire 375 next year. Again they stressed they don’t like to have big pools of guys for class. Currently there are 30 in the pool. |
Can anyone still comment from another thread on the app process. I applied a 2nd time, after getting the you have not been selected email from earlier in the year, right before the MTC event.
Currently though I have not gotten a 2nd gallop test assessment which it said would be emailed out as well on the spirit website it does not say that i recently completed an application it just has the one from earlier in the year. thoughts ? |

I did... like I said I applied right before going again to the recent mtc or meet the chiefs. *maybe I didn't make that clear but anyways yes.
I know that this basic scenario is the case for some other people but wondered if anyone currently at spirit had any insight on it. |

It doesn't cost anything, might as well try. I've flown with guy's here that have similar times without a degree.
