If/when the F9’s TA passes, it’ll be interesting to see if it affects recruiting or not.

Sorry I really don't check up on what we are doing from a hiring stand point. i was surprised April was the offer considering it's Dec. The Pool thing is new. Didn't know that one!

In Aug/September I talked to guys interviewing, they were being told folks were going to go into a pool back then since classes for the remainder of the year were already full. So I think they have quite a few swimmers in the pool as of now. Training over the holidays is always reduced at every airline. It doesn't surprise me that recent interviewees are being told April, I think the poolies from late summer/early fall have the first few months of 2019 filled up already.

We’re pretty fat on staffing (as of today) even with higher book hours in the summer I think we’re in pretty good shape...however we’re all anticipating an aircraft announcement right around the first of the year which will probably affect applications and wait times etc..

I understand that attendees that went to ATL MTC got invites, but anyone on here from LAX and later MTC events get anything yet? Seems from the folks I’ve stayed in touch with have only heard crickets, myself included.

If anyone else from DEN/SLC/LAX gets called, please post. Helpful in determining where one stands. From what guys have been saying on here, there are those that attended MTC and have received TBNT emails. Seems like we haven’t all been thinned out yet.

I was from the 2nd DEN group... nothing yet😔

I was at the SLC meet the chiefs didn’t hear a peep. I think they may not call until early spring. Classes are filled until March/April. But who knows...

That’s not unheard of. It took me 2 job fairs. For some it’s 3-4 tries.

Took me 2 years....be persistent if this is where you want to be!

Bump. No word from the atl mtc. I guess there won't be until the new airplane order is placed and the new year churns over. I'm ready and willing.

I doubt that. We still have ~50 airplanes coming in the next few years without a new airplane order. I don’t think we are over staffed by 50 airplanes. We all just got an email from the DO or VP of Ops, not sure what his new title is, stating we are hiring another ~300 in 2019. It will pick up, Spirit doesn’t like to have huge pools like other airlines where it takes 10 months from the job offer until you’re sitting in class.

Maybe, but I doubt it, they’re waiting for the airplane order announcement because they think the quality of candidates may go up if the guaranteed quick upgrade is there. But I highly doubt that, most likely they are just properly staffed. We’ve gotten 2 new NEOs and and 2 new CEO’s from Airbus since December 15th with more coming in January...

Applied on the old one, completed the Gallup test, and have heard nothing since. No history of my username on the new page either.

IMHO I think Spirit is waiting to see what kind of effect PBS will have on staffing levels. IMHO

Me too. I just redid my app on the new system, and I have been looking for the next meet the chiefs...

Usually it's posted at the Spirit's Career page on Facebook. We also get an email from our CP telling us when the next one will be. Usually someone will post the dates and location on here.

A friend of mine just interviewed and said there was 25 or so being interviewed that day. Hopefully that means they’re planning on ramping things up soon.

56 a month starting in July thru the rest of the year.

Clearly from the last vacancy bid it’s not this July.
