At a previous airline, after some IT-induced EFB shenigans like this which affected flight safety, IT was banned from making any unilateral changes to EFBs. All changes had to be beta-tested by designated pilots (who had access to un-tampered EFBs if needed), and approved by the LCA group before roll-out. That included OS updates and patches too. Priority was flight safety, not pathological IT crowd control urges.
Once IT was put back in their box, the biggest threat to EFB reliability was pilots installing and using other software.

Then use a chrome book that you can pick up for $130 if you can’t afford your own iPad for $329 instead of the company device.
The iPad spirit gives us doesn’t work very well for distance learning without having to do multiple emails to training to get credit for what you’ve done. It doesn’t display our manuals properly without having to do some stupid workaround just to read the manuals or reference a procedure.
So you’re asking it to display websites properly?
I prefer Omega myself. Apple watches are kinda cheap.

Do we use Comply for distance learning/CBTs for recurrent and whatnot? I thought we used that other app for CBTs?
At my previous employer the comply app just simply didnt work like you said above for training presentations. Had to use a browser, but safari on an ipad also didnt work. Company said we must use a real computer... something about mobile browsers compatibility.
However, there is an app call Puffin (looks like a bird in the logo) that runs the full browser, like a non mobile device and CBTs worked fine. Its kind of finiky, since you are basically running a non mobile browser, on an ipad. But it works great!
Also, seems like the issue with comply pages is fixed. Havent had any pages show up blurry momentarily since last update.
