[QUOTE=TrojanCMH;2888079]~60 new hires a month...

good thanks, so for sure class dates at the end of November and December 2019?

ropestart 09-16-2019 05:04 AM

672 new hires by Aug 2020. They will need an additional 250-300 to these numbers if we can find more sims and classroom space. Came straight from the horses mouth last week in the instructor meeting.

Yeah training is looking to see if they can do 72 a month

David Puddy 09-16-2019 08:49 AM

And I assume none of these numbers would include a potential add-on aircraft order... The number covers current staffing requirements and on-the-books aircraft orders.

FLYBOYMATTHEW 09-16-2019 10:05 AM

So, this is enough to staff approximately 40-57 A/C at the current staffing model. How many orders are supposed to be coming between now and end of 2020?

That’s an outdated fleet plan, the current plan on spirit ir has us getting 13 additional planes.

Yours is out of date. Or my cache is old. 193 is the new total.

It was a link. If you go to ir.spirit.com and click on the investor resources menu then fleet plan it shows 180. If you scroll down to the PDF on ir.spirit.com it shows 193. Their webpage is screwed up...

According to the fleet plan there should be 8 more Neos delivered between now and the end of this year. Then supposedly 21 more Neos in 2020 and 27 more in 2021.
137 total aircraft now 193 by 2021.

TalkTurkey 09-16-2019 10:33 PM

The horse is already dead.

Arliss 09-17-2019 11:31 AM

21 aircraft equals 210 pilots (at most) which equals 17 pilots per month. So why are they ramping up to 64/month? Higher utilization?

Attrition off the bottom

Lol not 50 a month. It’s clear there’s an aircraft deal that’s been made. They’re just waiting for the right time to announce it.

Maybe that time is tomorrow at the “townhall” in FLL?

Redo the math with 16.2 pilots per aircraft and add the pilots needed to bring the current fleet from 15.8 back up to 16.2.

I have no idea but I’m sure it is somewhat of a factor

Haha. It’s nonsensical, and it’s a gem.

Even better is you double down on it and defend it as logical if in the correct context.

Ok the grammar police are making busts today. I’m not an English Major and it was never my strong suit sadly.

I have no idea if a lot of junior people are leaving.

I’m sure junior people leaving are somewhat of a factor in hiring.

When’s the last time someone got LAS out of training? Asking for a friend I want to apply here. Base-lives-matter

Out of training not directly. But the most junior pilot in October is a 04/19 hire.

Long long time? It’s 8 months for Dfw right now and likely going to become much shorter with all the upgrades.
