I know you’re just flaming everyone and it seems to be working. However, I don’t want to give some of our newer pilots the idea that this an option. It’s a contract violation. 16:45 or longer overnight on your pairing and you go to the long stay. It’s not optional or waivable

This! And to add to that it's 16:45 scheduled, so even if you get delayed inside of that you still go to the long stay. It really should be 15 hours but some of the more vocal old hacks have an infatuation with waiting around on the hotel shuttle and staying at the Fairfield Inn by the airport.

I wish we could have kept the old hotel language with the option to make a request for the short stay for those who just can't handle being at the Sheraton downtown.

I wonder if it’s the same guy who’s terrified of walking outside the BWI long stay because, you know, one time way back a Delta guy got mugged once... 🤦

A pilot on layover was approached by a mugger who said: “Hey Pal, you want to work this side of the street? I’ll take the other side.”

I actually kind of liked the long stay in MSY, apparently we are moving out...I’ll never understand it. Must be the same guys that complain about the long stay in BOS.

I was okay with the location of our current long stay too. The new location is next to City Hall with nothing around. The first time I stayed at the new location 30 years ago it was a dump. Maybe things have changed since then. it’ll be mobbed on home game day and we’ll probably have to move to an alternate approved location on those days.

There are definitely more choices at our current location that we are leaving than the new one.
