Default Reporter asking -- Issue with Airbus A320?

I heard there may be an issue with fumes in the A320 cockpit that incapacitates pilots sometimes -- if you know any people affected by this, can you email or call me? Thanks very much! -Daniel Lippman [email protected] and 413-854-8628https://simpleflying.com/a320-ba-fumes-first-officer/

I wish reporters would do some actual research and educate themselves on subjects they write about. The quality of reporting is terrible and lazy. Reporters want to be spoon fed information and write hit pieces for clicks. I’ve noticed Politico is especially bad. Anytime I read an aviation related article and see all the errors and inaccuracies; I figure that anything else they write about is flawed. Whether it be business related, political, or whatever. Too bad reporters don’t have higher standards and take the time to investigate and learn instead of asking to be spoon fed info and then write an article full of misinformation and bias. Have some pride in your job! If I made as many errors as you probably do on a daily or weekly basis, I wouldn’t last very long in my profession.

People don’t want to pay for news anymore (newspaper) so the outlets have to get paid per click instead of subscription and the writing suffers as a result. Consumers are their own worst enemy of most everything they dislike. Everyone wants everything cheap or free and then complains when quality suffers.

This post was allowed because he was completely above board about who and what he is, and what he's looking for.

Bear in mind that the media will sometimes exaggerate an issue to make it newsworthy, and that could have undeserved negative ramifications for our industry.

ALPA environmental standards can respond with facts that should help the media stay in their lane

What’s wrong with helping a reporter who is up front with who he is, who he works for, and what he’s writing about? If you don’t think the quality of reporting is up to par then help a guy who is reaching out for info.

Reporters work for people too and have to put out a certain amount of material working on deadlines, so I’m sure a lot of them get frustrated too not being able to do the quality of work they’d like either.

There’s crappy people in every profession, but quit being petty and help this issue get the attention it needs. Someone needs to make it clear it’s not just an A320 problem. I Think ALPA has been pretty quiet on the fume issues

I think the problem with sourcing for info on the internet is any schlub can say whatever they want whether it’s true or not and it’s accepted as fact. Let’s not forget about how not too long ago some posts ended up in a legal document.
